If you’re a suitable candidate for porcelain veneers, Dr. Dani will design your treatment plan using imaging technologies, so you have a preview of what to expect after treatment.
Dr. Dani will make an impression of the prepared teeth and use it to make a mold of your mouth, which will then be sent to a lab to fabricate your porcelain veneers. Temporary veneers will be placed to avoid any sensitivity and will be replaced with the permanent custom veneers on your next appointment. Read more about our veneers process.
To find out more, schedule a consultation with Dr. Dani who will determine the best course of action to make sure you get the smile you’ve always dreamed of.

Veneers can be made from resin-composite or porcelain materials, and are bonded to your teeth.
No-Prep Veneers: Are made of strong porcelain material that is bonded directly over your existing tooth structure and requires no preparation of your teeth. Not all people are candidates for No Prep Veneers.
Minimal Prep Porcelain veneers: A strong, tooth-colored material that looks and feels like natural teeth. Minimal Enamel removal (an irreversible procedure) is required. Porcelain veneers are stain resistant and need to be fabricated in a professional dental ceramist, requiring multiple appointments for the patient.
Composite resin: These veneers are cheaper than porcelain, and the shade is customized to match your natural teeth. Veneers are crafted during the same appointment, making composite resin veneers a quicker, cheaper choice. They require more maintenance than normal veneers and are more susceptible to breaking .
Lumineers: Lumineers are uber-thin veneers digitally crafted and bonded directly on the front surface of the teeth without any need for preparation (enamel removal). They are considered a no-prep veneer.
Compared to other dental treatments, recovery after getting your veneers is quite fast. After the veneers are permanently bonded and the anesthetic wears off, you should be able to eat and chew normally. If the surface of the veneers feels a little rough, it’s usually because the extra cement has escaped. This should wear down naturally in a few days of brushing and eating, but if not, contact your cosmetic dentist to smooth them out.
Conventional porcelain veneers often last 10 to 15 years with proper care, while no-prep (Lumineers) last between 5 and 7 years. To maximize the lifespan of your veneers, you should:
Avoid chewing on hard objects, such as ice, fingernails, or pens.
Avoid using your teeth to open condiment packages and other packaging.
Cut up hard foods and chew them with your back teeth only.
Yes, Porcelain veneers can be repaired, depending on the extent of the damage. Here are common scenarios and their solutions:
Minor Chips or Cracks: Polishing or adjustment of the veneers can be done to hide or reduce minor chips or cracks. I would depend on the size and location of the chip or crack. Sometimes we can bond resin to restore the damged area.
Repolishing: Using special veneer polishing discs we can restore the shine and smooth surface of a veneer.
Replacement: If the veneer is damaged beyond repair it would need to be replaced with a new hand crafted veneer that is made to match the previous veneer and/or surrounding veneers.
Rebonding: If a veneer debonds or “pops off” but remains intact ,it may be possible to reattach it after cleaning and preparing the surface.
If you’re looking to improve the aesthetic of your smile, porcelain veneers may be the right choice for you. Porcelain veneers are permanent, highly durable additions that will dramatically change your appearance for the better. For those with good oral health, veneers can transform unsightly teeth into the smile of a lifetime.
Porcelain veneers are made of extremely thin medical-grade ceramic (aka porcelain). They provide a shell-like covering for a natural effect that matches the existing teeth. Veneers are stain resistant and can even be used to reposition teeth for certain orthodontic adjustments.
But first, your cosmetic dentist must approve you as a candidate.
Not everyone is an ideal candidate for veneers. People with tooth decay, gum disease, or other infections should avoid the procedure and get treatment for these conditions. Additionally, perpetual teeth and jaw grinders may not be suited for porcelain veneers.
If you have good oral health, you may be a candidate for porcelain veneers to treat the following issues:
Gaps and spaces – If you have unsightly gaps and spaces, porcelain veneers can be bonded on the teeth next to the gap(s), effectively increasing their width and filling the space.
Misshapen teeth – Porcelain veneers are an effective solution to cover up defects on the surface of the teeth from wear and tear due to clenching or grinding. Prolonged clenching and grinding can cause the front surface of the teeth to become irregular, rough, and susceptible to stains.
Chips and cracks – Veneers are also a great method to fix chipped, cracked, or malformed teeth that contribute to a less-than-ideal aesthetic.
Stains and discoloration – Upgrade the entire shade of your smile with durable veneers that are resistant to stains and discoloration.
Most people can improve their smile using porcelain veneers, but it is important to have your teeth examined for other problems that may need to be addressed first before veneer placement. Please contact us to schedule an appointment with Dr. Dani for an initial consultation to determine if you are a candidate for porcelain veneers.
A bright, healthy smile draws people in and makes them feel at ease. It boosts your self-confidence and positively affects the environment around you. There’s no denying that how we feel about our smile impacts how we feel about ourselves.
But for most people, a beaming, white smile does not come naturally.
Whether it’s genetics or aging, normal wear and tear, decay, or diet, life can get in the way of a healthy smile. Teeth deteriorate, move, shape, and shift, and we often blame ourselves or feel we may be stuck with the way we look.
Dr. Dani can examine your teeth and recommend appropriate restorative and cosmetic treatments. No judgements, just beautifully designed smiles to make you look better and more importantly, feel better about yourself and the world around you.
As both a general and cosmetic dentist, Dr. Dani is not biased to provide one specific treatment that may not necessarily be the right choice. He will objectively discuss your dental needs and goals with you, and then create a custom treatment plan that will go beyond the results you’re hoping for.
For patients living outside of the Los Angeles area, Dr. Dani holds virtual consultations via FaceTime, Skype, or Whatsapp.
Please be in a private and quiet environment with good lighting. After your consultation you will be given a preliminary plan, including required records required visits, cost of treatment, and payment options.
The price of porcelain veneers varies from person to person and will depend on the severity of each individual case. Expect to pay somewhere in the range from $1,900 to $3,000 per tooth.
Dr. Dani offers flexible payment options which will be discussed in your initial dental veneers consultation. Still have questions about the cost of porcelain veneers?
Unfortunately, insurance does generally not cover cosmetic procedures. In rare instance we may be able to obtain approval from insurance for cosmetic procedures when the plan allows for it.
